FAQ's
How far in advance should we book?
Peak dates fill up quickly, so booking early is recommended — many clients secure dates 3–6 months ahead. Last-minute enquiries are still welcome if the calendar allows.
What’s the booking process?
Just send the date, location, guest numbers, and type of event you’re planning. I’ll reply with availability, options, and pricing. A short agreement and deposit confirm the booking.
If youve not seen me perform before i'm always happy to have a quick Zoom meeting to say hello, discuss your event and show you some magic!
Do you travel?
Yes — I travel across the UK and internationally for both private and corporate engagements, including regular headline work at sea on cruse ships
What types of events do you perform at?
I regularly perform at corporate events, black-tie galas, theatres, weddings, luxury dinner parties, and private celebrations.
What style of magic do you perform?
My work combines mentalism (mind-reading!), sleight-of-hand, and interactive performance — it’s conversational, intelligent, fun and designed to engage guests directly.
How long do performances last?
Timing is flexible. Close-up magic can run over a drinks reception or dinner, while cabaret and theatre shows are usually structured in set lengths. We’ll tailor it to suit your schedule.
Who is the magic suitable for?
The material is designed to entertain a broad range of ages. If your event has specific requirements or a particular demographic, I’m happy to adapt.
How many guests can you entertain?
For close-up performances I circulate among small groups throughout the event. For stage or cabaret shows I perform to full audiences — including 1,200-seat theatres on cruise ships. If a close up event is particularly large I can arrange for a team of trusted and talented magician to join me to help get around all the guests/tables.
Do you need any special setup?
Close-up magic requires very little space and no technical setup. Stage shows benefit from basic lighting and a clear performance area. Technical details can be arranged in advance. The only non negotiable is to be 'seen and heard'.
Are you insured?
Yes — I carry full public liability insurance and can provide documentation for venues or event managers on request.
What does it cost to hire you?
Fees vary depending on date, location, performance type, and duration. Once I have your event details, I’ll provide a clear and tailored quote.
Can you give me a ball park?
Events have ranged from £500 to £2500 depending on the above factors.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made securely by bank transfer or invoice. Business invoicing is available for corporate events.
What happens if something unexpected prevents you from performing?
It’s extremely rare, but in the event of illness or emergency I’ll work hard to arrange a suitable professional replacement or offer alternative arrangements so your event is not disrupted or a full refund if preferred.
Will guests get to find out how the magic is done?
The mystery is part of the experience. The aim is for guests to enjoy the wonder rather than focus on method. As a Magici circle member im sword to secrecy for the bet effects but I do sometimes teach some basic magic as part of the workshops I teach.
Can you tailor your show to our theme or company?
Absolutely — I can incorporate themes, company messaging, or personalised moments if requested during booking.
What if my question isn’t listed here?
Just get in touch — I’m always happy to advise and make sure everything is seamless for your event.
